Apple Granted Injunction Banning Galaxy Tab 10.1 Sales In Australia

An Australian court has granted Apple an injunction blocking Samsung from selling their Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet in that country, reports The Sydney Morning Herald. The injunction was granted due to apparent patent violations relating to touch screen and gesture technologies.

Samsung and Apple have been battling the Australian Galaxy Tab 10.1 sales for some time, and despite prior reports that the two companies might reach a deal regarding sales of the device in Australia, it appears that any of Samsung’s holiday sales plans for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia have now been cancelled.
