International iPhone 4S Shipments Already Seeing Delays

Strong demand for Apple’s new iPhone 4S has resulted in shipping delays across international Apple stores. Australia, Canada, France, Germany and the UK are now showing 1-2 week shipping times instead of “by October 14th.

The delays come less than 12 hours after Apple officially began accepting pre-orders early this morning. United States shipping times are currently still predicting delivery by October 14th.

These delays don’t yet reflect a pre-order sellout in any way, but do reflect that, despite some critical reception, demand for Apple’s updated iPhone 4S is still quite high, and is already causing some strain on Apple’s worldwide supply.
