iPhone 4S On Track To Be Fastest Selling Gadget Of All Time

The iPhone 4S has already set major records for AT&T & Sprint, and Apple reports that they sold over 4 million of the new iPhones in just three days (more than doubling records set by the iPhone 4), but According to calculation by Shawn Blanc, the 4S is poised to set yet another record: becoming the fastest selling gadget of all time.

Blanc’s figures, which are based on Apple’s announcement of four million 4Ss sold worldwide during it’s opening weekend, state that Apple is selling a whopping sixteen iPhone 4Ss per second (or around 1,000 per minute). These figures will only become more significant on October 28th as Apple launches the device in another 22 countries.

According to these calculations, Apple is poised to set a new record, demolishing the Microsoft Kinect’s current standing as the fastest selling gadget of all time, selling eight million Kinects in the first 60 days. Apple could easily pass this within the first two weeks (or sooner)!
