Upcoming Avengers Movie To Feature Scenes Shot Using An iPhone

It’s well-known that the iPhone has an incredible camera, but according to Seamus McGarvey, the cinematographer for Marvel’s upcoming Avengers movie, the film will actually feature some shots recorded using an iPhone!

TiPb and ComicBookMovie.com report that MgGarvey divulged the iPhoneTastic information during an interview with IFTN, in which he made the following statement:

The beauty of photography or cinema is that you make every choice based on the content at hand. On The Avengers, I did a couple of shots on the iPhone and they are in the movie. In fact, they are in the trailer! I understand that sometimes there is no choice and you have to go for the cheapest option, but if you are limited for choice, you can still make poignant decisions that will effect the look of the film.

It’s pretty incredible news, to be sure – I’ll be watching for the iPhone footage when the movie comes to theaters, but in the meantime, we’ll all have to settle for this trailer until the movie officially hits the big screens:
