iOS Accounts for Nearly 40% of Pictures Posted to Twitter

It looks like Twitter users are really loving the iPhone’s built-in camera. TheNextWeb reports that new research from Skylines shows that nearly 40% of all pictures shared on Twitter are posted from iOS.

Between Twitter for iPhone, the iOS 5 camera app and Instagram, the iPhone and other iOS devices account for at least 39% of all photos posted to Twitter, and the iOS 5 camera app is now the 7th largest client for sharing photos on Twitter.

Looks like iOS 5’s Twitter integration is really paying off for both Apple and Twitter, and with the iPhone 4S still in high demand, and cheaper iPhone 4 and 3GS devices flying off the shelf, it seems like these numbers can only be expected to rise.
