Nearly All Mobile Malware is Targeted at Android

The computer security experts at McAfee have released their third quarter security report, which shows that the amount of malware targeted towards Android phones continues to rise at an alarming rate.

Mcafee’s latest report once again affirms that Android is the primary target for mobile malware, and that malware on Android devices has jumped up 37% since the end of September, following a 76% increase in the previous quarter.

McAfee predicts that mobile malware will reach 75 million unique samples (75 million!) by the end of this year, making this the busiest year in the history of malware.

2011: Year of Android Malware…that has a certain ring to it.
