Twelve South PlugBug – Charge Your MacBook & iPad From The Same Adapter

Accessory maker Twelve South has just announced the availability of their newest product – the PlugBug charger. The PlugBug is an add-on for Apple’s MagSafe charger, adding a USB port for charging your iPad or other USB device from the same adapter as your MacBook.

The PlugBug works by replacing the outlet prongs on the Apple MagSafe power adapter with a new section, including a 10-watt 2.1 amp powered USB port, capable of powering an iPad, iPhone, or a number of other USB devices.

Now you can carry just one compact PlugBug to charge your iPad or iPhone and leave the other chargers at home, reducing the clutter in your computer bag. Forget about worrying whether or not you remembered your iPad charger — with PlugBug it’s always connected to your MacBook charger.

The PlugBug can also be used as a stand-alone USB charger, and is available immediately from Twelve South for $34.99.
