Winamp Comes To The Mac, With Easy Android Music Syncing

Nullsoft’s Winamp, a popular and full-featured jukebox app for Windows, and possibly one of the best-designed music playback apps of all time, has finally come to the Mac, bringing Android syncing along for the ride.

Winap is still the preferred media player for many Windows users, and has now come to the Mac as a way to sync music to Android phones through the Winamp for Android app. The app should be extremely useful for Mac users who still prefer using an Android smartphone, especially considering that Android syncing options are quite limited.

Winamp for Mac can also import and sync playlists from iTunes, as well as act as a basic music player. Unfortunately, many of its classic features are missing from the Mac version, although Nullsoft promises a long-term commitment to the Mac OS platform, and says that many more features are coming soon.

Winamp for Mac Sync Beta is available now as a free download from Winamp’s website.
