Silicon iPad Keyboard Idea Earns Seattle Designer $200,000

This just shows how a great idea can change your life. Steve Isaac, a Seattle software designer, has come up with a solution to the iPad’s digital keyboard, Press Telegram reports. It is uncomfortable to type for extended periods of time on the iPad, so Isaac came up with Touch Fire, a silicone keyboard the you put on the iPad to make typing more comfortable.

Isaac then put his idea on Kickstarter, where he managed to receive over $200,000 in funding for his project. He originally made a prototype by modifying silicone keyboard covers for Macs, and it looks very promising. Marci Liroff, one of the thousands of backers, stated that she though the idea was “simply brilliant”.
