Siri Successfully Ported to Jailbroken iPhone 4 and iPod touch

After numerous attempts to bring Apple’s Siri technology to older devices, a group of iOS hackers has finally succeeded, bringing a full port of Siri to jailbroken iPhone 4 devices through Cydia.

The port, called “H1Siri,” is available now to the public, and tech blog InTechBB has posted the necessary links, including a tutorial for how to install and use the port.

It’s important to note that jailbreaking does carry certain rusks, such as decreased system stability, voiding your Apple warrantee, and the possibility of temporarily (or permanently) bricking your device.

The port has been plagued by server and connection issues (while Siri on the 4S continues to work just fine), suggesting that the app is using its own proxy server rather than connecting directly to Apple’s Siri authentication servers.

Check out the below video to see the port in action, and head on over to InTechBB for more information on installing the port.
