Zite Personalized Magazine Comes to the iPhone

Zite has updated their smart newspaper app for iOS (free, App Store link) with iPhone support, creating a unique new interface for iPhone users to carry the Zite experience with them in their pockets.

Since launching in March of this year, Zite quickly drew in over 125,000 downloads in its first week alone, due mainly to its friendly interface and adoption of Twitter support.

TheNextWeb reports that Zite CEO Mark Johnson had this to say about the inspiration behind the app:

“A lot of people forgot the joy of reading. I joined Zite as CEO because I had such a love for the product. When I consume news for pleasure at night, I want my Zite! I read stuff on it I can’t read elsewhere; in fact, it’s brought the joy of reading on the Web back to me. I believe in the vision of Zite and that a personalized news experience is what people want.”

The updated app, which is capable of syncing your account information and setup with the iPad version, is available now as a free download from the App Store (link).
