iPad 2 Survives 100,000 Foot Free-Fall From the Edge of Space (Video)

I love survival stories, and this is an especially cool one – G-Form, makers of shock-absorbing cases for the iPad and other electronics, decided to drop an iPad from 100,000 feet. And thanks to their protective case, it survived unscathed!

iMore pointed out this cool YouTube clip in which G-Form sent the iPad, wrapped in their G-Form Extreme Edge case, up in a weather balloon which eventually bursted after reaching 100,000 feet, sending the poor iPad plummeting to the ground – and they got some pretty amazing video footage in the process!

I have to say, this is a pretty cool publicity stunt – but I’m never letting anyone from G-Form touch my iPad 2. Never.
