How To: Hide The Dock With A Keystroke

If like me you choose to have the dock visible at all times then you will no doubt at one time or another wish you had that extra screen real estate to undertake a certain task.

Well at anytime, in any application, you can make the dock hide by simply pressing Command + Option + D on your keyboard as shown below:

Upon successful entry the dock will of course hide.

Should you wish to bring the dock back all your need to do is press the same keystroke again and it will reappear.

Alternatively, you can move your mouse to where your dock is normally located and it will reappear and then disappear again once the mouse pointer is moved from the dock.
