Macs Invading Corporate World

Macs Invading Corporate World

Windows is normally seen as the computer platform for large corporations such as GE, but that could be changing, the Wall Street Journal reports. Workers at GE can now choose whether they want a Mac or a Windows PC under a project started a year ago.

General Electric now boasts over 1,000 internal Mac users, and that number is expected to keep growing, especially as GE have not spread the work about the choice, so not many people know.

Apple currently has very little of the corporate market, but this year they are expected to sell $9 billion worth of Macs and $10 billion worth of iPads to businesses, about 50% higher than last year. Expanding into the corporate market would definitely give PC manufacturers such as Dell and Lenovo something to think about.
