Apple Headed For 400 Apple Stores By End Of 2012

During Apple’s conference call where they announced a new dividend and share repurchase program, CEO Tim Cook also revealed their intention to open 40 extra Apple stores this year.

40 more would take their current total of 362 over the 400 mark, and considering that the first one was opened in 2001, it is quite a remarkable achievement. If my calculations are correct, that’s roughly one opening every ten days, which is mind-blowing.
