Jony Ive on Mac Design and How Apple Does Things Differently (Video)

It’s amazing what you can find digging around on YouTube. In this clip, taken from the 2009 film Objectified, Sir Jony Ive takes you through the design process at Apple, and you even get to see how the different aluminum pieces come together and how the final product is made. The clip also features Dieter Rams, who was/is Ive’s design aspiration.

It really is fascinating, and it gives behind the scenes access into one of the secretive design processes in the world. The effort and time they put into the process is mind-blowing, but it definitely shows in all the products they come up with.
