Untethered Jailbreak for New iPad Demoed on Video, Public Release Forthcoming

Following an earlier announcement from iPhone Dev Team member MuscleNerd that the new iPad had already been jailbroken, iOS hacker i0n1c (who is responsible for the  untethered iOS 4.3.x jailbreak) has announced a completely separate untethered jailbreak for the new iPad, and has demoed the new exploit on video:

Not only does the video look legit, but ion1c has already proven himself to be a capable developer of iOS exploits. While there’s still plenty of work to be done, and no information is available about when this might be released to the public, it’s extremely exciting news . And the fact that there are now three separate jailbreaks in the works (the third one was created by @chpwn) means we likely won’t have to wait very long to enjoy some sweet Retina-ready jailbroken goodness.

Why does he cover the bottom every time he loads up cydia??

Saying the public release is forthcoming, while probably true, is misleading especially since the article says that no information about the release is available.
