Awesome Case Transforms Your iPad Into a Mini MacBook Pro

I love the look of Apple’s MacBooks – there’s just something about brushed aluminum that strikes me. That’s why I became so excited when one of our readers (Thanks Roger!) pointed me to an awesome new case that transforms the iPad into a miniature MacBook Pro!

Originally pointed out by Japanese tech blog Macotakara, the case pictured above is crafted from brushed aluminum that looks similar to the casing of a MacBook. The case also functions as a Bluetooth keyboard, packs a built-in battery to charge your iPad while in use, and includes a USB port for charging other USB devices.

It’s also worth noting that the case is designed for the iPad 2, although many iPad 2 accessories also fit the new iPad. The case is available on Amazon, as well as through Japanese retailer Rakuten, and it’s possible that the case might eventually end up on Buy.com, which is owned by Rakuten.

If any of you are successfully able to buy one of these from Amazon.co.jp for U.S. delivery, let me know!

Update: 9to5Mac points out that these cases are now available at Amazon.com
