Flashback Malware On The Retreat: Only 140,000 Macs Infected

Following the release of Apple’s Flashback removal tool and a new Java Update, the threat of Flashback malware has decreased considerably, so much so that only 140,000 computers remain infected, Apple Insider reports. The malware was once on over 600,000 Macs.

This figure still remains too high for security firm Symantec‘s estimate, however, which predicted that only 99,000 Macs would be infected by today. Still, here has definitely been huge progress, and hopefully the number will come down even further in the coming days and weeks.
