The latest entry in the Angry Birds franchise, Angry Birds Space, has now reached 100 million downloads since it was released just 76 days ago, cementing its place as one of the most successful mobile apps of all time!
Angry Birds developer Rovio has already achieved a number of milestones with the app, hitting 50 million downloads in just over a month to become the fastest-growing mobile game to date, far exceeding the growth rate of the original Angry Birds launched in 2009.

It’s pretty clear that Angry Birds has become a serious icon of the times. Games in the Angry Birds franchise have been downloaded over 1 billion times. The merchandising is just incredible – Angry Birds can be found in everything from plush toys to t-shirts to bandages (yes, bandages!), making it one of the single largest social addictions to ever see planet Earth!
