My Xbox LIVE App Updated With iOS Remote Control Feature

Microsoft’s My Xbox LIVE app for iOS just got a whole lot more awesome. In their latest update (as noted by 9to5Mac) Microsoft added a number of new features, including the ability to use your iPhone to control your Xbox!

While the iPhone doesn’t make a great game controller (especially in comparison to Microsoft’s gamepad, or the many third-party options), the feature could be very useful for browsing through content on the Xbox, and as a media controller. It even features media playback buttons!

The update is also intended to make the entire My Xbox Live experience more stable. Microsoft has also added high resolution graphics for the new iPad, although did not extend their new remote control feature to Apple’s popular tablet. Maybe some day!

My Xbox Live is a free app, and is available immediately through the App Store (link).
