Remember the Furby? You know – the creepy talking gremlin they couldn’t keep on the shelves in 1998? I do. That evil creature haunted my dreams, offended my ears, and caused my brain to spasm until I could handle it any more! Well guess what? Furby’s coming back – and this time, he can talk to your iPad!
The New York Times shares the details, noting that the new Furby picks up where its predecessor left off, adding LCD eyes, touch sensors, ears that can wiggle, the ability to dance to music, multiple personalities that you can switch between, and even apps! Yes, apps!
Furby 2.0 is expected to cost $60 when it launches later this year, alongside a companion iOS app. All I can say is, Furby may be able to talk to iPhones and iPads now – but it won’t be talking to my iPhone or iPad! There are some horrors that even therapy can’t heal…
