New iPhone Logic Board Pictured With Shielding Removed, Said to Include Faster A5X Chip

New iPhone Logic Board Pictured With Shielding Removed, Said to Include Faster A5X Chip

Following last week’s leaked photos of the next-gen iPhone’s supposed logic board, new photos have now surfaced on Sina.com (via MacRumors), showing the logic board with all of the shielding removed.

The photos aren’t clear enough to make out any useful details, but according to the report, the device will use a version of the A5X chip used in the new iPad. That also means the next iPhone likely pack 1GB of RAM and improved graphics hardware in addition to a slightly faster processor.

Whether or not such information was really derived from this logic board, it’s a safe bet that the next iPhone will include a significantly enhanced chip of some sort, and the A5X chip seems like a safe assumption.

Apple’s next iPhone is expected to feature a new taller and thinner design, a 4-inch screen, and more, and is expected to be announced on September 12 and released on September 21. For all the latest details, check out our iPhone 5 rumor roundup!
