Supposed Next-Gen iPhone Logic Board Appears Online, Lines Up Perfectly With Prior Leaks

We’ve already seen a large number of supposed part leaks for Apple’s next iPhone, all of which seem to fit together quite nicely – but the main component tying everything together has so far been missing: The logic board. Today, the first supposed pictures of the next-gen iPhone have surfaced.

French site Nowhereelse.fr shares new photos  posted to Chinese forum Weiphone (via MacRumors) showing the next-gen iPhone’s alleged logic board, which is distinct from the board found in both the iPhone 4 and the 4S, and lines up perfectly with the leaked shells that have been surfacing.

Also of note (via 9to5Mac) is that the leaked logic board appears to have more antenna connections than that of previous iPhones, potentially backing up claims that the next iPhone will, in fact, sport 4G LTE compatibility, as previously thought.

The photos are likely legit, as MacRumors notes that the same Weiphone posted posed photos of the iPhone 4S logic board last year. Unfortunately, the pictures don’t show the processor or any juicy bits like chip model numbers – but considering how many leaks have surfaced lately, it’s likely only a matter of time.

Apple’s next iPhone is rumored to feature a taller 4-inch screenthinner design, and a two-tone metal rear casing, as well as a smaller dock connector, relocated FaceTime camera, new smaller nano-SIM, and LTE support, and is expected to be announced on September 12.
