Kindle for Mac App Updated With OS X Gestures, Kindle Format 8, and More!

Following the announcement of an entire new Kindle lineup last week, Amazon has updated their official Kindle app for the Mac, adding support for OS X Gestures, Kindle Format 8 books, and more!

What’s New in Version 1.10.3

• Support for Lion gestures (panning and swiping).
• Support for Kindle Format 8 books, providing richer formatting.
• Improved support for larger libraries; Bug fixes and performance improvements.
• Improved performance for books that have a large number of notes and highlights.
• Support for Japanese.
• Miscellanous bug fixes.

The update should be a significant improvement for users of the app, and with OS X gesture support, should make it much easier to flip pages and navigate through books. Kindle for Mac is available now a a free download.
