New iMacs Appear in Apple’s Retail Inventory System

Following previous reports suggesting that new iMac models will be released in the near future, 9to5Mac reports that SKUs for the new iMacs are appearing in Apple’s retail inventory system. The report makes mention of four new model numbers, likely referring to both 21.5 and 27-inch models.

9to5Mac:

Listed as “D7″ and “D8″ in the SKUs above, we see two refreshed models. They are presumably for the 21-inch and 27-inch variants that Apple currently sells. We have recently heard reports that Apple is planning to introduce new iMacs alongside what reports claimed were images of the refreshed iMacs’ internals.

The report also notes that it’s unclear exactly when Apple will begin shipping the refreshed iMacs, although prior rumors have suggested at least some models will be available on October 24th. Apple is also rumored to announce a 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro and new Mac Minis alongside the anticipated iPad Mini at their October 23rd media event.
