New Leaked Images Surface of 13-Inch Retina MacBook Pro

With a 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro expected to surface at tomorrow’s Apple media event, a poster at Chinese site WeiPhone.com (via MacRumorsposts what are claimed to be leaked photos of the device, including images showing a unique new battery layout, dual Thunderbolt ports, and more.

The battery layout, pictured above, is especially interesting – Apple seems to be jamming batteries into every unfilled nook and cranny of the device. Shots of both the left and right sides of the MacBook Pro show that it has the same ports and layout of the 15-inch version.

While the photos are small, and of generally low quality, it does seem very much as though the poster actually does have access to a 13-inch version of the Retina MacBook Pro. I suppose we’ll find out for certain tomorrow!

A 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro has been predicted to arrive soon by a number of credible sources, most notably a prediction made by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (12), who’s track record with predicting future Apple product releases is exceptional. The device is said to be available at a similar premium as the 15-inch Retina model, with pricing starting at $1699.
