Awesome Mod Puts iPad mini Into Dash Of Toyota

The iPad mini hasn’t even been on sale for a day, but already some people are doing some seriously cool stuff with it. Car customizers Soundwaves of Tampa (via 9to5Mac) has come up with an ingenious mod to the dashboard of a Toyota Corolla allowing room for your iPad mini, so you can browse and watch films while driving. But that’s a bad idea, so don’t do it. Leave it to the passenger to enjoy.

It would be awesome to see cars shipped from the factory with this functionality, and even though you wouldn’t want to use Maps as a GPS, there are plenty of other apps available, like Garmin and TomTom.
