Onwards And Upwards: Jawbone Re-releases UP Fitness Wristband

By pretty much all accounts, the first gen Jawbone Up was a dismal product. Faulty capacitors, syncing problems and design flaws made a nightmare for customers and company alike.

Today however the second generation was released, and for $30 than it’s predecessor at $130, it should work much better and offer a range of new features.

The wristband works in conjunction with the iOS app and tracks your fitness levels as well as what you eat. It also works as an alarm clock, with the Smart Alarm feature detecting when to wake you up.

Other features include:

  • Mood tracking
  • Night and day form factor
  • 10 day battery
  • Water resistant design.
