Microsoft Support Site Leaks References to Office Products for iOS

Last month photos of Microsoft Office for iOS leaked, but no official word has come out of Redmond as of yet. Now however, references to several Office for iOS apps have been slipping into Microsoft’s support site.

MacRumors:

As noted by Mac4ever, references to several Office for iOS applications have begun creeping into Microsoft’s support site, albeit as product tags that appear to have been applied improperly to support articles.

One example listed is a document addressing custom numeric formats in Excel. The support site for the United States has the document listed as applying to Excel 2013, while on the French support site it is incorrectly listed as applying to Excel for iPad.

Searches for similar phrases on the site glean a number of other references, and include “Excel for iPad,” “Powerpoint for iPad,” and “Office Mobile for iPhone.”

The appearances of the tags don’t offer any extra information on Microsoft’s plans for these products, it does however help to confirm the existence of the apps, and shows that the company may be working to add support infrastructure ahead of their release.
