Chitika: iOS 6.1.2 Already #1 in iOS Adoptions in Less Than a Week

Ad network Chitika says iOS 6.1.2 has already reached the #1 spot of currently installed iOS versions in the U.S. and Canada. Adoption rates have hit 35% in just six days. Chitika’s data comes from tens of millions of browser sessions.

Chitika, via MacRumors:

As this latest update fixed a battery life issue ― a major phone feature ― it’s understandable that the rate of adoption for iOS 6.1.2 would reach these levels so quickly. For comparison, 48 hours following its release, iOS 6.1.2 adoption nearly equaled what we observed for the much more highly anticipated iOS 6 within the same time period ― a significant achievement considering this update was centered on an OS bug fix.

iOS 6.1.2 is the second bug fix released by Apple since the original release of iOS 6.1. iOS 6.1.2 fixed an Exchange calendar bug fix, and followed iOS 6.1.1, which was released specifically for iPhone 4S devices that addressed and issue with 3G performance and connectivity.
