Leaked Photo Appears to Show Apple’s iPhone 5S Display on Production Line

Leaked Photo Appears to Show Apple’s iPhone 5S Display on Production Line

A new image floating around on Chinese micro-blogging service Sina Weibo (via 9to5Mac) claims to show Apple’s next-gen iPhone display on an active production line, suggesting that mass production of the device is already well underway at Apple’s Chinese manufacturing partners.

The image isn’t particularly revealing, but it does appear to include the same redesigned flex cables leaked earlier this week, which in turn match up with a previous leaked logic board assembly.

Leaked iPhone 5S components are beginning to appear more and more frequently, as tends to be the pattern as Apple closes in on the public release on a device. The “iPhone 5S” is likely to be unveiled later this year, with current rumors pointing to September, and is rumored to include significant under-the-hood upgrades (including a new custom Apple A7 chip), dual-LED Flash, and a larger battery, as well as a possible fingerprint sensor under the home button.
