Apple Seeds OS X Mavericks Developer Preview 6 to Developers

Apple has released their sixth developer preview  of OS X Mavericks today (as noted by 9to5Mac). As with its predecessors, the 6th developer build comes around two weeks following its predecessor, and continues to address various bugs and add performance enhancements ahead of the public release of OS X Mavericks. It’s also likely to include an updated version of the iBooks for Mac preview that was included in Mavericks Developer Preview 5.

As with the previous developer previews, the 6th developer build continues to address various bugs and add performance enhancements ahead of the public release of OS X Mavericks. The update weighs in at 958MB, and is available through Software Update on machines that already have a previous Mavericks preview installed. The new preview so far has NOT been added to Apple’s Mac Developer Center.

In addition to the new Mavericks preview, there are also new versions of the Remote Desktop apps, and an updated version of Xcode, as well as  a new Safari 6.1 beta for OS X Mountain Lion. We’ll let you know as soon as we see download links in the developer center!

OS X Mavericks is staled for public release later this fall, and boasts over 200 new features.
