In the thread, now up to 19 pages at the time of this post, users are reporting that a hard system reset is usually the only remedy when the system freezes. While a conflict between the new machines and Apple’s recently released OS X Mavericks operating system has not been ruled out, owners of the previous-generation MacBook Pros with a Retina display are not reporting similar issues.
Apple released the updated Retina display MacBook Pro’s last week, making the move from Intel’s Ivy Bridge platform to the new Haswell-based platform.
