Apple Updates iTunes Remote App With iOS 7-Inspired Design Overhaul

After leaving a number of hints over the course of the past several weeks, Apple has finally released a significantly redesigned version of their Remote app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, designed to better match the look and feel of iOS 7. Apple had previously updated their other house-made apps with a similar design overhaul.

Unfortunately, aside from the iOS 7 inspired design, Apple does not appear to have added any new features to the app whatsoever (other than support for iTunes 11.1, which isn’t exactly a “feature” per se). Nevertheless, the app still remains a popular and convenient alternative to the aluminum Apple TV remote for controlling and sending content to the device.

The update is available now for immediate download, and is always, is free from the App Store.
