Free Downloads of U2’s ‘Invisible’ Net $3M to Support Product (RED)

Over 3 million iTunes users took advantage of the free download of U2’s newest single “Invisible,” in the short period it was available, pushing Bank of America’s donation to the Global Fund past $3 million.

9to5Mac:

The song was downloaded more than 1 million times in just the first hour after the commercial originally ran.

The results far surpassed Bank of America’s initial promise of up to $2 million dollars.

As of today, “Invisible” can be downloaded for $1.29 on iTunes with all proceeds going to support the global fight against AIDS.
