Apple held a lottery for developers wishing to purchase tickets to attend the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference that kicks off on June 2nd.

Apple sent out notifications to the lucky random winners at around 8PM Eastern time. Developers who “won” have one week to purchase their $1,599 ticket. The ticket will be held until 8PM Eastern time on April 14th.

The tickets grant access to Sessions, Labs, and special events. Apple is also granting 200 “scholarships” to give student coders the opportunity to attend WWDC this year.

It is expected that iOS 8 will be introduced at the WWDC, and also possibly a peek at OS X 10.10 will be given. There are more than 100 technical sessions scheduled that will be presented by Apple engineers. In addition, there will be over 100 hand-on labs and events for developers.
