ABC News Proving More Popular on Apple TV Than on Desktop and Mobile Streams

A little over a month ago, ABC News launched an Apple TV channel, offering both live and on-demand content from both the local and national levels. ABC News has now put together an infographic offering a look at how viewers are consuming the content on the new channel.

Highlights include:

  • Live video viewing on Apple TV accounts for 20% of the channel views, and outranks both mobile and desktop viewing combined by 50%.
  • Apple TV viewers spend 65% more time per visit than desktop viewers.
  • Peak usage for Apple TV viewers who view the channel comes at 9PM Eastern Time. Smack dab in the middle of “Prime Time” for television network broadcasts.
