Google Quietly Releases 64-Bit Version of Chrome Web Browser

Google has finally released a 64-bit version of their popular Chrome web browser for OS X. The quiet release comes just a few days following a similar release for Windows 7/8 users.

The release, codenamed “Canary”, is available for download here, and is only recommended for developers and early adopters. Google warns that it “can sometimes break down completely.”

So, if you’re a developer, or if you’re just feeling lucky, give the new 64-bit version of Chrome a try, and let us know about your experiences in the comments section below.
