Today is launch day for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and while most of us dread dropping our new precious, there are some folks that just can’t wait to drop the new devices just to see what it takes to make them crack.
PhoneBuff got their hands on both devices and put them through a drop test, they dropped each one on its back, side and front.
While the iPhone 6 did nicely when dropped on the side and back, the front side didn’t fare as well. The iPhone 6 Plus took some damage when it landed on its side, but took less of a hit when dropped on its already cracked face.
We’re sure this isn’t the last of the torture tests we’ll see, so stay tuned. Hey, at least this gives you something to watch while you’re in line waiting to get your new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus. Just try not to drop it once you get it, OK?
