A report today claims the stainless steel Apple Watch’s pricing will start at $500, while the gold model could carry a beginning price tag of between $4,000 and $5,000. This, from French Apple site iGen.fr. [Google TranslateThe site’s sources have proved reliable in the past, accurately predicting the dimensions of both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Apple has announced a $350 starting price for the Apple Watch, (likely for the aluminum model), and observers had estimated the price of the gold model to be as low as $1,000 or as high as $5,000. Not much information has been available re: pricing of the stainless steel model.

iGen.fr’s sources also say Apple is targeting an Apple Watch release by Valentine’s Day 2015, despite recent reports saying Apple SVP of Retail and Online Store Angela Ahrendts told employees the device will be released sometime in “early spring” 2015.
