Nomad’s New Apple Watch Accessories Lineup Includes Portable Charger

Nomad, makers of the NomadKey iPhone charging cable that fits on your keyring, has announced two new Apple Watch accessories. The accessories are “Stand,” an Apple Watch charging stand, and “Pod,” a portable Apple Watch charger.

STAND FOR APPLE WATCH

Stand is a sharp looking Apple Watch charging stand, made from military grade extruded aluminum. The Stand sits on your desk or nightstand, and can charge your Apple Watch, while elegantly displaying your new favorite timepiece.

The backside of the Stand holds a concealed, precision CNC milled routing channel for the charging cable, guiding Apple’s magnetic puck to its resting place on top.

Stabilizing the Stand is a copper ballast and a high friction rubber base.

Production has begun on Nomad’s Stand, and shipping should begin May 1st. The stand is available in Silver or Space Grey. The price will set you back $59.

POD FOR APPLE WATCH

Nomad’s Pod is a portable power station and cable manager for the Apple Watch. The Pod contains a high density 1800mAh lithium polymer rechargeable battery, packing enough power for four complete charges of your Apple Watch.

Nomad’s Pod includes a Type A USB port used for connecting the Apple Watch charging cable, which wraps around the unit until the puck rests on Pod’s concentric charging nest.

Pod is the first Apple Watch accessory that charges with the new Type C USB cable (it also has Micro USB as a backup). The unit is protected by a stamped military grade aluminum lid.

The device weighs in at a mere 2.8 ounces (80 grams), and is smaller than a hockey puck. Pod will fit comfortably in your pocket, bag, or purse.

Nomad’s Pod is available in Silver, Space Grey, or Matte Black, and will run you $59. It’s available now for pre-order, with shipping set to begin June 1st.
