Music streaming service Pandora Radio released an updated iOS app on Monday, adding Apple Watch support ahead of the device’s April 24th release.
What’s New in Version 5.9
Experience personalized music discovery with Pandora for Apple Watch.
- What’s that song playing? The song name and artist are available at a glance.
- Thumb-up tracks you love, pause playback and change stations directly from your wrist.
- Easily access new music notifications.
Removed some bugs that may have gotten between you and your music.
Apple Watch users will be able to glance at their Watch to view the song name and title of the current track, give a thumbs up for tracks, pause playback, and change stations, all from their wrist. Optionally, push notifications from Pandora Radio will be sent to the Watch.
Pandora Radio is a free app, with in-app ads. Users can subscribe to ad-free playback for $4.99 per month, via an in-app purchase.
While Pandora was not listed as an Apple partner when CarPlay was announced, the service still hopes to add CarPlay support to their app at a later date.
Pandora Radio is available FREE for iOS devices in the App Store.
