Have you ever wondered what an Apple Macintosh Phone would have looked like in oh… Let’s say, 1987? Artist Pierre Cerveau did, and he took upon himself to visualize it.

The design certainly has that ’80s Macintosh aesthetic. We love the little CRT, and the rotary dial. (Sure, the rotary dial was almost entirely replaced by touch-tone phones, but just go with it, OK?) The cellular phones back then were pretty basic, although they did have touchpads. However, their screens were mostly LED Alphanumeric displays, we’re talking calculator readout here…
That little screen wouldn’t have been good for a lot, but it certainly would have rang any Apple fan’s (Ma) bell back then. And those cooling vents would have kept your hands warm on cold winter evenings, because you just know these little babies would have ran hot…

The whole design of the “Macintosh Phone” makes me nostalgic for the fonts, logo, and case colors of the early Macintosh computers. Is it weird that I REALLY want a Macintosh Phone? NOW! Oh the things I could have done with 512K of memory…
