Best Buy announced in July that it would begin selling the Apple Watch, both in-store and online, on August 7. The company has fulfilled their promise, and Apple’s new wearable is now available both online and in 100 Best Buy stores.
Best Buy plans to offer 16 models from the aluminum Apple Watch Sport and stainless Steel Apple Watch collections. Models available online include all 38 and 42mm Apple Watch Sport models, and 38 and 42mm stainless steel Apple Watch models with Black Sport Band, White Sport Band, and Milanese Loop.
Any orders placed online will be shipped immediately, and in-store pickup is also available. The Apple Watch will be currently available in 100 Best Buy stores, with the company expecting to expand availability to over 300 stores during the next few months.
The big box electronics retailer will also offer a variety of Apple Watch Sport Bands, as well as the Milanese Loop. They will also offer a selection of third-party accessories for the wearable including charging stands, screen protectors, cases, and bands.
Best Buy becomes the first major retailer to offer the Watch to customers, outside of Apple’s own retail stores. Previously, the Apple Watch was available only from Apple’s online and retail stores, as well as a few select fashion boutiques.
