Sports Illustrated Uses the iPhone 6s Plus to Cover Giants/Dbacks Series

As usual, Apple has been handing out new iPhones ahead of the official release date so professional photographers can use the device to show off its excellent image capturing features. Sports Illustrated photographer Brad Mangin used the iPhone 6s Plus 12-megapixel shooter to capture the goings-on at a weekend series between the home San Francisco Giants and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

While the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus both boast identical 12-megapixel capturing abilities, the 6s Plus also includes optical image stabilization, which is likely the reason the 6s Plus was used to capture the game.

The SI article doesn’t mention whether any of the photos were processed or touched-up following the game. All of the photos can be viewed at the Sport Illustrated website.
