Apple Store and Best Buy Have the Fourth-Generation Apple TV In Stores Today

The Apple Store and Best Buy both have the new fourth-generation Apple TV in stock at their stores in the U.S. and first wave launch countries.

MacRumors:

… Apple is also offering Personal Pickup in the U.S., while Best Buy is allowing customers who pre-ordered for in-store pickup to pick up their set-top boxes starting this morning as the stores open up for the day.

Best Buy had begun offering pre-orders for the new set-top box on Monday, but had listed November 4 as the date when customers could begin picking their orders up in-store. However, several customers report they began receiving email notices on Thursday that their devices would be ready for pickup today.

Apple Retail Stores will have Apple TVs on-hand, and ready for in-store pickup and purchase. U.S. locations were revamped overnight by the merchandising elves, and feature advertising to promote the device for today’s launch.

Also available in Apple Stores will be new accessories, including the new Apple TV Remote Loop, and the SteelSeries Nimbus controller.

The new Apple TV boasts a powerful A8 processor, a touch-based remote control, Siri Voice Control with Universal Search, a new App Store for the new tvOS operating system, and much-increased storage space. The new model is available in two storage configurations: 32GB and 64GB, retailing for $149 and $199, respectively
