Apple Seeds Beta 2 of tvOS 9.1 to Developers

Apple on Tuesday seeded the second beta of tvOS 9.1 to developers. The release comes a week after the initial seed of the future update to tvOS 9.0, which runs on the fourth-generation Apple TV.

The second tvOS 9.1 beta – build 13U5069b – is available as an over-the-air update to those devices who are running the first beta. Otherwise, developers will need to install the new seed by downloading it form the Apple Developer Center, connecting their Apple TV to their computer via a USB-C to USB-A cable, and installing the seed via iTunes.

So far, most of the changes in tvOS 9.1 appear to be under-the-hood changes, while the release notes mention references to networking and scrolling tweaks. The update is most likely set to fix issues users have found so far following the ;aunch of the fourth-generation Apple TV.
