Longtime Apple Pay holdout Ally bank has finally flipped the switch that allows its customers to add their credit and debit cards to Apple’s touchless payments service. The bank announced the move via Twitter, and on their community blog.
Your mobile device is your co-pilot. You pay your bills together, share a calendar, and shop as a team.
We get it. And we love it.
That’s why we’re excited to share that we now support Apple Pay®
While Ally bank isn’t yet listed on Apple’s ongoing list of Apple Pay partners, Ally Bank customers can add their Ally-issued credit and debit cards to Apple Pay on their iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, Apple Watch, iPad mini 4, iPad Air 2, and iPad Pro.

iPhone users running iOS 9 can go to the Wallet app and tap the “+” icon in the upper right-hand corner to begin, and then just follow the prompts. Users of iPads with Touch ID can add a card to the service to use in apps by going into “Settings” -> “Wallet & Apple Pay” to add a card there.
Apple Watch users will need to enter the Watch app on their iPhone, Tap on the “Wallet & Apple Pay” option, and then tap the “Add Credit or Debit Card” option.
