Reliable Leaker @evleaks Says iPhone 7 and 7 Plus to Debut Week of September 12th

Well-known, and usually reliable, iPhone info leaker Evan Blass, (@evleaks), posted late Friday that Apple will release the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus the week of September 12th.

Blass has a good track record when it comes to posting leaked images and information about unreleased smartphones and such. Blass later tweeted to narrow down the release date to Friday, September 16th.

While Blass is better known for his Android-related leaks, he has accurately reported leaks about iOS devices in the past, and yesterday’s tweet matches up pretty well to Apple’s usual September iPhone release timeframe.

The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are not expected to be a radical upgrade from Apple’s current iPhone 6s and 6s Plus handsets. Although it is widely expected that Apple will do away with the headphone jack, in favor of using the Lightning port or Bluetooth for headphone connections.

Both models should see some nice internal upgrades, with both handsets getting improved processors, and improved cameras, with the larger iPhone 7 Plus getting a much rumored dual-lens camera, and 3GB of RAM.
